What is Future Quest?
Future Quest is a church-based youth conference that features large general sessions, practical workshops, as well as free time and fun. Future Quest exists to encounter the reality, power and glory of God through passionate worship and the proclamation of His truth, and to train up young people to be bold disciples of Jesus. Future Quest is designed for students entering 6th thru 12th grades.
Who puts on Future Quest?
The conference is presented by Foothills Christian Church in conjunction with Youth Venture Teen Centers and Higher Ground Clubs. Click here to see what we believe.
Where is the conference located?
Foothills Christian Church; located at 365 West Bradley Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. The mailing address is 350 B Cypress Lane, El Cajon, CA 92020. 619 442-1467.
How long has Future Quest been in existence?
Future Quest began in 1998 is now entering its 29th year.
What will students do all day?
Students will attend two general sessions, along with a breakout workshop. In between general sessions, there will be various free time activities and time to eat.
What about food?
There are many restaurants nearby with a wide variety of fast food and casual dining options such as: In N Out, Starbucks, Greek Style Chicken, Subway, La Casita Mexican Food, Panda Express. There will also be on-campus food options available at a low cost.
How much does the conference cost?
Before June 1st $65 (+fees)
After June 1st $75 (+fees)
Students can bring extra money to purchase food throughout the day, participate in certain activities, and to purchase FQ merch.
Can students just sign up to attend the concert?
Yes. The daily rate is $25.00.
Will students be well supervised during the event?
We have a large number of registered adult volunteers who will be in each session, on campus, and at our organized off-campus venues throughout the duration of the event. In addition to this we have a trained security staff that is in place before, during, and after Future Quest. We ask that students participate in organized activities during free time; it is, however, an open campus.
What time should students be picked up?
The evening general session is scheduled to conclude at 8:30 each night, followed by evening events ending at different times each night. Please see the full conference schedule for a more complete timeline.
Can parents visit Future Quest?
Parents are welcome to come by and check out Future Quest for an hour at no charge; just stop by the registration table for a visitor pass.
Are there lockers available for students?
Yes, there will be lockers available for students to use during general sessions. We encourage students to use lockers for their bags before general sessions. All bags will be inspected upon entry into the main sanctuary. No food or drinks will be allowed in the sanctuary.
Who can attend Future Quest?
7th -12th grades, no younger children
General Rules and Info for Youth
- Respect Future Quest staff and volunteers
- Attend all general sessions and workshops unless accompanied by a youth leader
- Remain within designated Future Quest areas only
- Wear your wristband at all times. Replacement wristbands are available at the registration table
- Students must be entering 7th grade or higher in the fall of the current year in order to attend. Children (including infants and babies) are not permitted on campus and will be asked to leave.
- No fighting, bullying, vandalism, or inappropriate physical behavior
Future Quest staff reserve the right to address anyone in violation of these rules and guidelines. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the conference.
Dress Code
- No undergarments showing, including bras, briefs, and underwear
- No midriffs or cleavage exposed. Guys must also wear a top at all designated times.
- No offensive, sexually suggestive, or inappropriate imagery, language, or messaging on clothing.
- Skin-tight, athletic leggings can only be worn when covered with shorts or with a shirt long enough to cover the hips
- Shorts – students’ knuckles must reach to the bottom of the shorts (no skin-tight, athletic shorts)
